Sixth House

I find understanding and managing the 6th House in analysis more difficult than dealing with any other House reference.

The Sixth House shows HOW you work, not your career. That is governed by your tenth house. If the job you have is shown by your sixth house, well then it’s just a job, not a career.

The sixth house is the field of service. Subjects here revolve around work and health matters.

It is so easy to ignore the 6th house as it has a reputation of being a boring house. To me it represents the salt of the earth. Regardless of our otherworldly pursuits - we all have to live on this earth in a semi-organized fashion.

Because the 6th house is below the horizon, it is associated with the lunar (nocturnal) sect, and therefore with matters of fortune and the physical body. For this reason, Mars, of the nocturnal sect, and the lesser of the two infortunes, joys in this place.
