Chiron description

Chiron is an asteroid, a mythological figure and a catalyst for that delicate place you have deep inside that contains your most inner sense of woundedness.

Astrologically, Chiron is also an anomaly, defying consensus as to its sign rulership (if any). Since the figure in Sagittarius is a Centaur (which some say is Chiron, himself), it is often assumed to rule that sign.

Chiron was discovered in November 1977, 20 years ago. It was originally termed a "planetoid", then a "comet", and now (at least according to one prominent astronomer) a "planet" (more on that later).

The proposal to rename and also reinterpret the small planet Chiron does not spring from an opportunistic mood of the author. He is aware of the responsibility of his action, and offers with the following empirical experience much exciting material summing up 10 years of research (1979-89).

First in 1927, then in 1936 and then again in 1961, three different astrologers predicted the existence of a celestial body strikingly similar to what we now know as Chiron.
